Updated 6/23/2008
As many of you know, camping was a sell-out again this year and very sucessful!!!
Everyone in the campground was talking about great it was this year. There was a lot of
mingling between sites and catching up with friends. Everyone had a great time. As one
camper put it perfectly; "Great People. Great Music. Great Time!"
Camp Site Decorating Contest
We gave out over 125 ballots for this year's contest. Only two ballots were returned and
campsite 44 received both votes.
Congratulations, Rowe and guests! Rowe and his guests won last year.
Since we only two ballots returned, we are considering not having the contest next year. In order
for it to be sucessful, more people really need to participate. We need to hear what you think on this
matter. Karen was in the same place all day behind the grove area to collect ballots. Unlike Jay, she
pretty much stayed in the same place all day long.
Now, time to start gearing up for 2009 and the 31st June Jam!!! See you all next year!

HELLO FROM THE CAMPING COMMITTEE
Thank you for your interest in camping at June Jam! The Camping Committee strives to create a
safe and fun camping environment for all June Jam members and staff. In the past, everyone
in the camping areas has had a great time while supporting a great cause.
So come on out and have a great weekend while supporting a good cause!
When the ticket forms get mailed out, remember to check the box that asks if you are interested in camping.
A camping form will be returned to you with your tickets. Complete the form and send it back in!!!
This year, all camping forms must be received by 6/18!!!
Do not procrastinate on returning your form!
Last year, we had to turn people away as we completely filled the campground almost two weeks before the camping deadline!
If the email traffic we are seeing is any indication, we will fill the campground again this year. Once we have received
enough camping forms to fill the campground, all extras will be returned.
You must submit a camping form in
order to be assigned a camp site.
One camping form = one camping site
Camping forms are returned with your tickets when you select the box on your tickets form that indicates you
are interested in camping.
Please, remember the following:
- Camp sites are assigned in advance and require a camping form to be submitted.
- Camping forms must be submitted by 6/18. No form = No campsite. This is strictly enforced.
- Do not send your forms to the campground!!!! June Jam Camping Committee handles the campground for the weekend.
- If you do not hear from the Camping Committee and have paid for camping, you have a site. There is no need to panic!
- To avoid confusion about campsite assignments, we do not give out the site numbers until check-in. The problems this causes
can be enormous. In the past, we have had to shuffle the campground assignments as late as camping-check-in day to take of
the sites already assigned by the campground.
- Camp site assignments may change for the following reasons:
- The campgrounds are shuffled to keep groups together.
- The campground often has sites designed as permanent/seasonal that are not available to June Jam.
- Site preferences are taken into consideration but can not always be done because of the above two situations.
- If you are camping with a group, make sure to mention that on the form. When we start assigning campsites, we code groups so
that they are kept together during any form of shuffling.
- If you make arrangements to camp on nights prior to 6/20, please be sure to find out what site you will be on for the weekend.
We try to handle this issue in order to avoid having to move a group or ask you to move to a different site. (Please note that
camping prior to 6/20 is not covered by the fees paid to June Jam. Nights other than 6/20 + 6/21 are between you and the campground.)
On the day of check-in (June 20, 2008), you will need to make sure you have the following with you:
- Tickets - Forgetting these just ruins your day and ours. You must have the tickets with you. No exceptions!
- Identification - This helps us confirm you are the rightful owner of the ticket in your possession.
- Staff Members must have their Staff Shirts. No exceptions!
